James Kerr is known for his boundary-pushing theatre and film direction. His award-winning productions have been featured and acclaimed around the world for two decades.

He trained as an actor at LAMDA before joining the National Theatre Studio as Director on Attachment. He has directed plays at the National Theatre, The Royal Court, The Donmar; also across the UK; In Dublin, Belfast, New York and across the States.

He developed his interest in training at the National theatre Studio working alongside, Peter Hall, John Barton, Sir Richard Eyre and Peter Brook. His work with actors has led to a global reputation for training at the highest level.

He was Senior Acting Tutor at LAMDA (2012—2019).
